„Framework for Continuing Educational Development of Trainers in General Practice/Family Medicine in Europe” is a publication released in 2012 that has been funded with support from the European Commission under the Leonardo da Vinci Programme (Project no. 2010-1-PL1-LEO05-11460): Framework for Continuing Educational Development of Trainers in General Practice in Europe (CEDinGP). The aim of the Framework was to develop, implement and sustain in a long-term perspective a coherent guidance for the professional development of general practice/family medicine educators all over Europe. This important development could only be achieved by joining the current knowledge of GP/FM training, current approaches and existing expertise within European region, in order to develop a new high quality conceptual framework. In the current project (CEDinGP II, No. 2013-1-PL1-LE05-37537) the framework was a major fundation in development of the appraisal of teacher expertise process that can be applied and valid in a European context.
